“ King’s
Ward”
An original work by Marie-Helene B. Grzesiak
Five troubled young people
live on a large estate as the wards of a King: a thief, a wolf, a stoic
beauty, a broken doll, and a certifiable
lunatic.
The ties that bind them together come under great strain when the
King announces that one of them is aging out of the guardianship, and
introduces
a bird in a gilded cage as the new resident moving in to take her
place. Sometimes hysterical, sometimes chilling, 'King's Ward' bends
the laws
of reality, blurring the lines between illusion and delusion, truth,
lies and deceit.
